Computer Classes & Programs

Computer Services offer a wide variety of monthly tech classes and programs to help you learn the basics of Microsoft programs, Google apps, and more! Each month’s programs are listed below. To view videos of these programs, visit the OLPL YouTube channel HERE.

Every Tuesday at 2pm / Computer Training Center
Have a question about computers, smartphones, smart assistants, or other new technologies? Stop by the computer lab during the tech help hour and get help for your new device!

Senior Computer Classes

Tech for the Golden Years
(in person, in Computer Training Lab)
OLPL and Pathlights have joined forces and are offering a six-class technology instruction series specifically for adults ages 60+. We will accept six participants for this series, and encourage participants attend all sessions. A waitlist is available. Registration is required, and ends on March 16. Basics of Web Design

This series of courses will help you begin your journey into the world of web design.

Hands-On HTML
Monday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m.
HTML is the language of the internet! Create your own basic website by learning how tags function to create the text and pictures you see on webpages every day.

Hands-On CSS
Monday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m.
CSS gives the web its style. It makes your text pop and gives your tables character. Learn how to use CSS to customize your own HTML.

Hands-On WordPress
Monday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.
Learn how to use one of the web’s most popular content management systems and create your own blog or webpage.

Smartphone Tips & Tricks
Wednesdays, Sept. 21, Oct. 19 & Nov. 16 at 2 p.m.
Did you recently get a smartphone? Not sure how to navigate the endless icons and features? Join us for this basic session to learn how to get the most use out of your device.

Tinkercad 101
Mondays, Sept. 19 & Nov. 28 at 6 p.m.
We’ll teach you how to use Tinkercad—a free online program for 3D modeling.

Create Your Own Cookbook with Canva
Monday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. / Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m.
Collect your treasured recipes in an attractive digital cookbook using Canva! Canva is a versatile online design tool that will allow you to give new life to your recipes in a digital format. You can take your creation to get printed at your favorite printer in town or online—a perfect gift for the holidays!

Computer Center Services



Computers available for one hour per day.

  • Computer equipment and chairs will be cleaned between each use.
  • The copy machine and fax machine are available without an appointment.
  • The Computer Center is unable to provide change for the copy machines or printing.


Two walk-up computers are available for 15-minutes of use without an appointment. The walk-ups are located in the Computer Center area. A document scanner is available with one walk-up computer.


The Computer Center has 6 laptops available for patron use. Laptops may be borrowed for one hour per day and must be used inside the library. Laptops are available to patrons 16 years or older and require a photo ID to check out.


Printing is available at both the public computers and walk-up computers. Printing is $.10 a page for black and white and $.30 a page for color.

The fax machine is available for $1 per transmission on the second floor near the Computer Center. Cover sheets are available at the Computer Center Desk.
A copy machine is available on the second floor near the Computer Center. Copies are $.10 a page for black and white and $.30 a page for color.


3D printing is available! Prints are $0.50 per hour of printing payable upon pickup. The library reserves the right to refuse to print certain items. Fill out this form to get started.
