Visit the Library to check out a Museum Adventure Pass using your Oak Lawn library card. Passes are limited to each organization and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Museum Adventure Passes cannot be reserved or checked out online or by phone.

• One pass may be checked out per family, per loan period. The loan period is seven days and will expire after the date printed on the pass.
• Passes cannot be duplicated or exchanged and must be used by the patron checking out the pass. Passes may only be used once. Patrons may be asked for photo identification and a library card to gain admission to the participating museum.
• Please refer to the list of participating institutions for details on the offers.

Explore More Illinois is a free service that provides instant online access to free and discounted tickets to museums, science centers, sporting events, zoos, park districts, theatres, and other fun and local cultural venues.

• Log in with your library card credentials and browse for passes by date or attractions. Make your reservation and print or download your pass shortly before your visit.
• You can have three active reservations per library card. Please cancel your reservation(s) if you are unable to attend; otherwise, the reservation will be counted as used. Please note that once you print or download your pass, you will not be able to cancel your reservation.
• Explore More Illinois users must be 18 years or older. Attractions may require a photo ID in addition to the reservation.
• If you do not know your PIN or password, or if you are experiencing issues logging into Explore More Illinois, please contact your home library.

Our 4G Wi-Fi hotspots offer unlimited service and can be used anywhere there is service in the United States.

• Hotspots are checked out for twelve (12) weeks with up to five (5) renewals and may be checked out by any adult with a valid Oak Lawn library card.
• Limit of one hotspot checkout per card at a time.
• Renewals are only granted if there are no holds on the item and if the patron’s Library account is in good standing.

The Library has Chromebook Kits available for adults of all ages. Whether you are looking to make a purchase and want to explore what they have to offer, or need a quick, temporary way to work through something on the internet, we have you covered.

Thanks to a grant given to us by AgeOptions, the Oak Lawn Library offers patrons ages 60 and over Chromebooks to check out and use at home. Chromebook Kits are also available for checkout for those under age 60:

• Choose one with or without a Wi-Fi hotspot included.
• Checkout duration of three (3) weeks, without renewals.
• When returned, the Chromebook will be checked in after a full inspection and factory reset.

AgeOptions awarded the Library a grant to purchase materials and host programs related to technology training and reducing social isolation for adults ages 60 and over. We purchased two new types of materials for this purpose, one of them being memory kits!

• Memory Kits come with different themes and materials to support individuals experiencing dementia and their caregivers. Each kit includes materials such as interactive games, DVDs, CDs, books and resources.
• All kits are available for checkout and can only be placed on hold by Oak Lawn library cardholders ages 60 and over. Memory Kits may be checked out for three weeks and are not renewable. Please come visit the Library to check one out today!
