BOARD POLICY
SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT
In accordance with the Smoke Free Illinois Act (410 ILCS 82/), smoking in public places, places of employment, and governmental vehicles is prohibited. No person shall smoke in the Oak Lawn Public Library, within 15 feet of any entrance to the library, or in a vehicle owned by the Library.
Smoke or smoking is defined as smoking, burning, inhaling, or exhaling or any kind of lighted pipe, cigar, cigarette, hookah, weed, herbs, or use of any other lighted smoking equipment. Also included under this policy are e-cigarettes, vape pens, or any other vaping device.
