BOARD POLICY
TRANSITION OF NEW TRUSTEES
Newly elected Board Members shall be sworn in at either the first Oak Lawn Village Board Meeting in May or at the Special Annual Reorganization Library Board Meeting in May in the year of election. Should this prove impracticable, the newly elected Trustee shall be sworn in at the earliest possible Village Board Meeting or Library Board Meeting.
In the event of an unexpected vacancy on the Board of Trustees, the new Board Member chosen by the Board will be sworn in and seated at the next regularly scheduled Board Meeting following the selection meeting.
