Ages 11-14

Register at the Youth Services Desk ten days before the program to play after-hours Capture the Flag with Nerf gear. A caregiver permission slip must be filled out at the time of registration. 

A Master Gardener from the Illinois Extension Service will explain how to start seeds to have a successful garden.

Interested in tabletop Role Playing Games (RPGs)? Tired of D&D? Come learn and play a new game every month with the RPG Club!

Come to share seeds from your garden or start a garden with seeds that have been donated by your Oak Lawn neighbors and generous companies like Sow Right Seeds and Baker Creek Seeds. Also learn about local sources for native plants and seed.

This gaming hour features games like Scrabble, Chess, video games bowling, and cards to stimulate memory, sharpen thinking, and encourage social interaction.

Back by popular demand, we're resuming Wits Workout! Developed by the University of Illinois Extension for adults ages 60 and over, Wits Workout includes interactive puzzles and games.

Engage in specific writing skills with author Z Jeffries as your creative writing teacher and guide. Develop your writing through responding to prompts, timed writings during class, and receiving feedback from the group.
