D123 Kickoff to Kindergarten

School District 123 invites families from the Oak Lawn–Hometown community to our "Kickoff to Kindergarten" event on Thursday, April 30, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at the Oak Lawn Public Library. This event is designed for families with children entering Kindergarten for the 2026–27 school year.

***Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026 to be eligible for Kindergarten for next school year.

The evening will feature a variety of interactive hands-on learning experiences to help families understand the academic expectations and routines of Kindergarten. You will receive practical strategies to support learning at home and connect with district staff in a welcoming environment. Our goal is to help children enter Kindergarten with familiarity, foundational skills, and excitement for learning, while families feel informed, confident, and connected. Raffle prizes will be drawn for attendees.
