Are You Somebody?: the Accidental Memoir of a Dublin Woman by Nuala O'Faolain A thoughtful, reflective and often poetic recounting pf growing up in Dublin by a natural storyteller. Hers was a full, sometimes difficult life, but she learned to value what she has and who she has become. Some of it is sad and some is funny – but it is an honest and true book about life in Ireland. "O’Faolain lived and then chronicled her life in Ireland from the 1950s through the 1990s. There is an emphasis on the role of women and the extraordinary social changes occurring in Ireland in a few decades. O’Faolain worked in journalism, radio and television and was eminently qualified to comment on the Irish culture in the 20th century." - Kathy

A vivid and tender love story that illuminates one of the most intriguing relationships in history: First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and journalist Lorena Hickok. It brings a hidden chapter of East Wing history to life. "Oh wow, anytime I read an intelligently written book about a famous person I feel like it’s a high-brow version of an E! True Hollywood Story, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. This particular story will have some eye-brow raising moments too and make you wonder why you didn’t know about the life of Eleanor Roosevelt sooner (I know I did). The captivating storyline in this novel about Eleanor’s life is the relationship of female reporter during FDR’s campaign, Lorena “Hick” Hickok, and Eleanor, something that began as a friendship and moved into something more intimate. . . juicy. As more and more secrets of relationships in the White House are revealed it makes me wonder if we will be reading books in the future similar to this." - Shannon
