3D Printing at OLPL

Request a Print

Patrons can now submit 3D printing requests at OLPL! Staff will print approved requests on the Library’s 3D printer, an Ender-3 Pro. The Library’s 3D printer makes three-dimensional objects in plastic using a design saved as a digital computer file, which patrons can create or download from the internet.

Getting started with 3D printing

  • Search or browse for objects ready to print or customize. You can go to ThingiverseMy Mini Factory, or one of these other sites for free designs.
  • Design your own 3D object using 3D modeling software. Tinkercad is a simple 3D design application which is great for all ages and does not require any downloading. SketchUp and Fusion 360 are also recommended.
