Paranormal Romance

When you think of paranormal romance (PR), you might automatically think of love with a vampire or werewolf, Twilight-style. However, PR features romantic relationships with a whole array of supernatural beings, be it a shapeshifter, ghost, angel, demon, fairie, etc. However, like a traditional romance, PR centers on the characters falling in love and there is always a happily ever after (HEA) ending. 

What I enjoy most about reading PR is that it is easier for me to get lost into the magical world of the story and suspend disbelief because….well, I’m not in the real world so I can get on board with some magical love connections! In addition, PR is often written in series, which as I’ve mentioned before I really like because I can just truly immerse myself in the characters and the make-believe world. 

Something to note – because PR typically consists of series, it WILL matter the order you read them in. So make sure if you pick one off the shelf, that it’s not smack dab in the middle of a series. If you skip around, you could miss some major plot or character development!
