DESCRIPTION:School District 123 invites families from the Oak Lawn–Homet
 own community to our "Kickoff to Kindergarten" event on Thursday
 , April 30, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at the Oak Lawn Public Library. This eve
 nt is designed for families with children entering Kindergarten for the 20
 26–27 school year.***Children must be 5 years old on or before September
  1, 2026 to be eligible for Kindergarten for next school year.The evening 
 will feature a variety of interactive hands-on learning experiences to hel
 p families understand the academic expectations and routines of Kindergart
 en. You will receive practical strategies to support learning at home and 
 connect with district staff in a welcoming environment. Our goal is to hel
 p children enter Kindergarten with familiarity, foundational skills, and e
 xcitement for learning, while families feel informed, confident, and conne
 cted. Raffle prizes will be drawn for attendees.Please CLICK HERE to regis
