The Oak Lawn Public Library appreciates the generous support of our community!

Each year we receive many donated books, movies, and magazines and other items that are sorted, cleaned and resold in the Friends of the Library bookstore. We also receive cash donations for the general Library fund, the Foundation, or memorial donations in honor of colleagues or loved ones. Listed below are the many ways you can support the library and its services.

Your monetary gift helps the Library purchase special or “wish list” items that fall outside of the normal library budget. To give a monetary gift, please download the DONATION FORM and return it to the Customer Services desk in the lobby.

The Friends Bookstore is one of the best resale shops in Oak Lawn. Thanks to generous donations of books, movies and magazines, Friends is able to offer these items for just pennies to the public and help families provide excellent educational materials on a budget. The large counterspace in the lobby was installed to receive those donations. To learn more about the Friends and donating to the Friends, click HERE

Donations made to the Oak Lawn Community Library Foundation are invested into a professionally managed endowment fund established for the long-term security of the Library. This funds major capital projects at the Library. To learn more about the Foundation click HERE

Patrons may honor a colleague or loved one through a book donation or cash amount in their name. Please download the DONATION FORM and return it to the Customer Services desk in the lobby.
