Pantry Garden Helpers

Help grow a better world.

On Monday, August 6th, we will be offering the opportunity for youth who are ages 10-14 to earn community service hours.  From 3-4 pm we will be at the Oak Lawn Park District Community Garden at 5220 105th Street.  Dolly Foster, Garden Manager, will give OLPL staff instructions for what the garden needs.  Watering, weeding, planting, and harvesting are all options so please dress appropriately.

Volunteers will be working in the pollinator and food pantry areas of the garden.  Our work will help feed low-income families receive fresh produce and help pollinators with a variety of food sources.

Advanced registration is requested and space is limited.  You can call or stop in to the library to register.  Online registration is also available by clicking here .

If you are unable to attend the Aug 6th program, there will be another opportunity on Tuesday, August 14th.  Online registration is available starting Aug. 4th by clicking here .
