We hope that you enjoyed our annual Fan Fest event of pop culture this year, falling on Free Comic Book Day! From face painting to belly dancing, Worlds of Wonder had it all.
Our exhibitors had adventurous comic books, beautiful jewelry, fun buttons, amazing graphics, and other amazing goodies!
Panelists - Gordon Dymowski presented Getting Into Dr. Who, discussing the show from the old to the new! Beginner's Guide to Cosplay, presented by Pat Rice,was a "how to" guide for cosplay, demonstrating the basics of creating your own costume, maybe to wear in the showcase for next years Fan Fest!
Klingon Language 101, presented by the Jeremy Cowan & the Klingon Language Institute
brought out the Trekki from within, teaching the language of Klingon.
Those that dressed for the occasion were able to enter our cosplay showcases for children and adults. Everyone looked amazing
Kids were ready to get their faces painted, waiting to be decorated with superhero symbols, flowers and even cats!
TAB did a phenomenal job with the Harry Potter escape room, so many groups of people joined in on the fun and were able to work together to get outta there!
Lego builders were hard at work, creating structures of all sorts like the Batmobile and the Millennium Falcon.
There were some character appearances from Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain America, and Thor. The photo-booth had plenty of them to choose from to take pictures with.
Instructor Liz Smith showed off her yoga skills while narrating an interactive Worlds of Wonder story that was full of adventure. She taught children how to pose and even taught some of the 501st Storm Troopers a thing or two!
Raks Geek ended the event with a showstopping performance. The group of performers wowed the crowd with interpretive dance and a belly dancing Wookie!
